Our "Be the Light" Curriculum at Grampound with Creed

To ensure our curriculum design meets our aims, we have produced key documentation which enables us to plan and deliver high-quality, effectively pitched lesson sequences.

Long Term Planning Example

These documents evidence how our chosen topics have been carefully selected to ensure we meet the requirements of the National curriculum and EYFS framework objectives in a progressively sequenced way across year groups. These documents outline what will be taught when within in each cycle.

Medium-Term Planning Example
These documents evidence how we break down key learning within each topic by setting sequential and progressive 'key questions'. These key questions build upon each other and lead to clear and concise 'end points', otherwise known as composites.

Knowledge Organiser Example

These show the lesson sequences, key "need to knows" (knowledge) and "need to dos" (skills) statements and key taught vocabulary for each unit. They also outline the prior learning pupils will need to build upon in their next lesson sequences too

Knowledge and Skills Progression Document Example

These documents show how specific knowledge and skills are sequenced across specific year groups and key stages.
