Visions and Values

Our school vision has been written from the teachings of Matthew and is deep rooted within our school community to ensure every child shines brightly.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

Matthew 5:14-16

We follow four Christian Values which were chosen by our School Council pupils as the ones they felt were most important to our school community. Pupils were given the opportunity to explore the meanings of these before voting for those most important to them. Initially, trust, hope and love were the most voted for, however, our year six school counsellors felt strongly that wisdom was also added as a fourth value as "without wisdom, we wouldn't be able to do our job as School Council".
We are proud to offer a distinctly Christian education in an inclusive environment and whole-heartedly believe all children deserve to flourish in all they do and let their light shine within a safe, nurturing  environment.  Every member of our school community strives to emulate the teachings of Jesus in telling his disciples to never be hidden but to instead be courageous and aim high. Every child will shine during their time at Grampound with Creed and we are proud to offer a distinctly Christian education which ensures that in line with the Church of England's Vision for Education, we educate for:

-Wisdom, Knowledge and Skills
-Hope and Aspiration
-Community and Living Well Together
-Dignity and Respect
